Chris Berry @ Arabian Horse, Aberford this weekend Saturday 6 March

Chris Berry returns to Aberford, 5 miles east of Leeds, just off the A1 Great North Road, this Saturday for an acoustic night of hit songs plus one or two of his own latest compositions. ‘I hope this is a really great night’ says Chris. ‘With me will be Kev Smith again from Thorner, playing some really nice lead breaks and fills.’ These nights are all about having a great time and we want everyone to be involved. The Arab is a great venue and we’d love it to be packed out. Acoustic nights are a bit different to the nights I play with FOG, which are fantastic. These are all about the people in the pub and what they like. We’ll be playing everything from ballads to get up and dance pop and rock. I’ve recently been writing some new stuff of my own and I really hope everyone likes them. There’s one song in particular that I hope everyone will get something out of – it’s a real, true, hearfelt, emotion-ridden love song and probably the best I’ve ever written. I really sing it from the heart which is where I wrote it. I’d love you all to love it as much as the person I wrote it for.’ This is another of Chris’ solo gigs, although with Kev on board once again. Next week Friday 12 March he’s back at The Mexborough Arms in Thorner with Mick Clarke, Mandy Perry and Kev Smith – it’s sure to be another fantastic acoustic night. Watch out for many more to come this year!
