‘It’s been a fantastic year so far,’ says Chris. ‘The launch of Joe’s book, which I wrote, plus the phenomenal success (phenomenal regards how the songs has gone down wherever I’ve played it) of WONDERFUL SMILE, plus masses of FOG and CMC gigs … all I need next is a full-on recording contract, more support slots and a week or fortnight’s residency in Spain or Cyprus and I’ll feel even better.. not  a lot to ask is it?’

From 20 August Chris has no less than 18 performances between then and the end of September – that’s 18 in 41 days – not bad considering he’s also writing for the Yorkshire Post every week and starting work on Joe’s new book, plus completing his first novel! Plus editing a few videos of rural shows, plus writing for a couple of magazines – are you tired yet?

JOE @ WIMBLEDON THEATRE - June 2010

For the first time in many years JOE LONGTHORNE will be performing LIVE on the BBC. Joe will appear on the massively popular WEEKEND WOGAN programme which starts @ 11am this Sunday 18 July.

Joe is set to make his appearance @ 12:27pm and will be ON AIR for 20 mins performing MORNING OF MY LIFE – a Bee Gees classic; IF – a David Gates/Bread classic; and his impressions utilising I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO & SOMETHING. He will also be interviewed by Sir Terry Wogan and will hopefully be publicising his brand new autobiography (ghost written by his good friend and fellow performer Chris Berry) released in April; his 02 appearance in August; and his new Summer Season at Blackpool.

As a mark of just how committed Joe is to his career which has now spanned 41 years he will have opened his new season at Blackpool on saturday night, travelled down to London in the wee small hours to perform on Sunday morning. This follows an extensive 60-date UK tour from April to a week ago.

Joe has been performing brilliantly throughout his UK Tour and is looking forward to his Summer Season @ North Pier Theatre in Blackpool which starts on 17 July.

On Sunday 18 July he will be appearing on WEEKEND WOGAN on BBC Radio 2 – it will be a live performance from a man who only hours before will have yet again been wowing an audience in Blackpool before travelling down to London overnight to appear on national radio the next day.

What a brilliant month JUNE was for Joe Longthorne! Masses of gigs and a fantastic reaction from audiences everywhere! Joe played the length and breadth of England and Wales taking in Swansea, Grimsby, Stevenage, Dartford, Bournemouth, Southsea, Swindon, Wimbledon, Leeds, Liverpool, Leaminton Spa and many more besides.

With him at all of those venues was his good friend and writer of his autobiography which was released in April, Chris Berry.

 Chris has been supporting Joe on tour and hasalso receiving great comments about his songs – his singing – and his writing.

‘This is a great experience for me, not just having written Joe’s book with him but also being able to provide the support act slot on his tour. I feel very privileged to be alongside such a wonderful entertainer and a great man. I would like to thank everyone who has passed on their lovely comments about my voice, my songs and my writing.. plus some very nice comments on my appearance too!
